National Cadet Corps


NCC is a voluntary organization for the students of schools and college and spread throughout the length and breadth of our country. Through NCC, a cadet can prove his potential to the optimum level. It imparts military training to the cadets so that they can have a very good exposure to the regimental way of living and to face the challenges bravely and boldly.
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.

Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. "Unity & Discipline" is the motto of NCC. NSS polytechnic college NCC sub unit is affiliated to the 10 Kerala battalion NCC unit, Chengannur under Kollam group headquarters in Kerala and Lakshadeep directorate. It has an authorised strength of 100 cadets out of which 33 percent seats are reserved for girls. During the three year service tenure, a diploma student can secure B and C certificate along with his studies. These certificates can help them in securing bonus marks in competitive exams of government , semi government or defense departments.
